My seedlings are having a little vacation on our back porch today. Our last frost date here in eastern Nebraska is the first week of May, so I still have about a month before it’s 100% safe to set them out. I’m not sure what I was thinking when I let my 6-year-old plant an entire tray full of morning glory vines.
The tomatoes are doing really well. I have Cherokee Purple, of course. Opalka and Margherita are my paste tomatoes. I also have Black Cherry. I only planted one variety of pepper, the Mariachi Pepper from Park Seed. It is supposed to be a mild chile pepper with fruity undertones. It sounds interesting. Maybe this weekend I will plant some peas! And spinach! Maybe some lettuce! So exciting.
